Heather McLellan
Heather McLellan is an experienced physiotherapist with a background working across CSP-affiliated organisations. She brings expertise in workforce development and professional standard. Her role on the board focuses on ensuring that Pontio supports sustainable professional growth and reflects the needs of the wider physiotherapy workforce.
Pierre Bonnaud
Pierre Bonnaud is an MSK lecturer at the University of Northampton with a strong academic focus on evidence-based practice. He supports the translation of research into practical clinical application. Within the Governance Board, he contributes to academic rigour, educational quality assurance, and alignment with current clinical evidence.
James Bell
James Bell is an AHP physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience across NHS services. He currently involved service improvement and organisational change within his NHS trust. His contribution to the board centres on clinical applicability, service integration, and ensuring that Pontio’s educational content reflects real-world NHS practice.
Adam Parkes
Adam Parkes is the founder of Pontio and an MSc physiotherapy student. He established the platform in response to barriers in accessing high-quality CPD. His focus is on improving equity of access to education and supporting physios through structured, trustworthy learning opportunities. He leads the platform’s vision and development.

The Board of Governance provides independent oversight of all educational and CPD activities at Pontio, ensuring they are accessible, ethical, evidence-based, and aligned with high professional standards in physiotherapy.
The board supports Pontio’s mission to remove barriers to CPD and foster an inclusive learning environment for clinicians at every stage of their careers.
